Havana, November 28 (RHC)-- Another 200 Cuban doctors serving in some of Brazil's poorest and most remote communities, arrived back home in Havana on Tuesday.
This is the eighth group of collaborators returning to Cuba since the Ministry of Public Health decided not to continue its participation in the More Doctors program, following offensive statements by Brazilian President-elect Jair Bolsonaro.
The Cuban collaborators offered the Brazilian people love, respect and quality health care, according to one of the returning doctors, Félix Padilla. He recalled Fidel Castro's legacy of international solidarity, and the innumerable expressions of love and appreciation the collaborators have received from thousands of Brazilians who benefited from the program.
Padilla reaffirmed the commitment of Cuba's medical professionals to continue to serve the homeland and provide health care wherever necessary.
