Havana, April 1 (RHC), -- Uruguayan President Jose Mujica rejected the US economic, commercial and financial blockade of Cuba and gave an alert on attempts to impose sanctions on Venezuela.
In a statement issued by the Uruguayan Presidency’s Communication Department, Mujica said that when much of the world is asking the United States to drop its blockade of Cuba, there are voices in Washington calling for Sanctions against Caracas.
The Uruguayan head of state said Venezuela and all Latin America need to be respected first and that peace, tolerance and negotiations are values to have in mind and cultivate to have a Venezuela united with all Southern nations.
Our constitutions may have limitations, but respect is the necessary way to follow, said Mujica.
