President Diaz-Canel rejects speeches by Trump and Bolsonaro at the UN

Havana, September 24 (RHC)-- Cuban president Miguel Diaz-Canel rejected Tuesday the remarks made by  the leaders of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, and the United States, Donald Trump, at the UN against the island´s medical cooperation and relations with Venezuela.

The president said on Twitter that “the emperor of the United States uttered slanderous and inadmissible accusations against Cuba and Venezuela. His failure with Cuba and Venezuela provokes his imperial arrogance and he justifies his defeat with false arguments. He also added that Cuba will give him the dignified and energetic answer he deserves.

Speaking at the opening session of the general debate of the 74th General Assembly of the United Nations this Tuesday, Trump said that the future belonged to sovereign and independent nations who protect their citizens, respect their neighbors and honor the differences that make each country special and unique.

Forgetting close neighbors also deserving respect, the American prsident a while later resorted to the usual fabrications to slam Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua,for their disobedience.

Also speaking Tuesday morning at the UN General Assembly was Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro. Similarly, he devoted part of his speech to attack Cuba, Venezuela, and socialism.

President Diaz-Canel said on Twitter that Cuba vigorously rejects Bolsonaro's slander on the island´s international medical cooperation, and  quoting from Cuban Foreign Ministr Bruno Rodriguez earlier Tweet, he encouraged Bolsonaro to deal  with corruption in Brazil´s  justice system, government and his family, and described Brazilian president as the leader of inequality  increase in Brazil.
