Washington, November 22 (RHC)-- Despite restrictions imposed by the Donald Trump administration, Americans can still visit Cuba legally and safely, legal experts and travel agency representatives said Thursday.

During a seminar held at the Cuban Embassy in Washington D.C., attorney Michael Krinsky noted that even when there are limitations, "the categories of travel are still there, and they are broad.”   Krinsky recalled that the Trump administration put an end to people-to-people and group trips, but those in support of the Cuban people remain, a modality that can include virtually the same type of visits.

Another U.S. lawyer, Robert Muse, explained that, in the case of support for the Cuban people, that category implies interaction with civil society. For this reason, he stated that the American travelers not only meets the requirements demanded by that license when they stay in private homes or eat in private restaurants, but also when, for example, they visit an art gallery, or interact with musicians and artisans.
