Havana, October 15 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez has rejected recent statements by U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo against the Caribbean nation and other Latin American countries.

On his Twitter account, the head of Cuban diplomacy said that these attacks by Pompeo, made when he announced his participation in the next General Assembly of the Organization of American States, demonstrate the growing international isolation of Washington.

"By imposing a mandate on the discredited Ministry of Colonies, he is reaffirming his projection of domination over Latin America and his aggression against those who do not obey imperialist orders, Rodríguez said on the social network.

Pompeo declared that he will be "delighted" to lead his country's delegation in that virtual summit on October 20 and 21, and affirmed that it is time for the hemisphere to confront "the regimes of Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela," opposed to the policies of the White House.
