Havana, August 15 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla regretted the tragic traffic accident that occurred  Sunday in Tehuacán, Mexico, involving migrants of different nationalities, including Cubans.

On Twitter, Rodriguez sent condolences to the victims' relatives and friends and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. He informed that the Cuban consul in Mexico City immediately went to the scene.

In Tehuacán, with the support of Cuban residents, the official is providing consular assistance to an injured Cuban national and is in contact with the family in Cuba, he said.

Rodríguez Parrilla said he is in close communication with the proper authorities, who are continuing with the process of identifying the victims, and reiterated Cuba's commitment to regular, orderly, and safe migration.

To implement the new regulations, it was necessary to update the provisions of the General Customs of the Republic. Resolution 175 of 2022 was approved with the rules for non-commercial imports made by individuals.
