Cuba thanks Argentina for rejection of U.S. blockade

 

Buenos Aires, Oct 29 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez thanked President Alberto Fernández for Argentina's rejection of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba for over 60 years.

 

On Twitter, the foreign minister described a meeting held with Fernández as brotherly and fraternal.

We reaffirmed the willingness to continue strengthening the friendship and cooperation relations that unite our peoples and governments, said Rodriguez.

 

According to an official statement, the talks were held Friday afternoon and was also attended by the Cuban ambassador in Argentina Pedro Pablo Prada; Director-General of Latin America and the Caribbean Department of the Foreign Ministry (MINREX) Eugenio Martínez; and the Secretariat Head Noel Quesada.

 

During this week, Bruno Rodriguez attended the 23rd Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and the 3rd CELAC Summit and the European Union.

 

Furthermore, he met with his counterparts from several nations and attended a meeting with Cuban residents in Argentina, members of the Argentine Solidarity Movement, Argentine graduates from Cuba as well as members of political and social organizations. (Source: Prensa Latina)
