Foreign Ministers of Cuba and Kenya hold official talks

Havana, Dec 19 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla held official talks today with Alfred Nganga Mutua, Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kenya, who is on an official visit to the island.

 

The Foreign Ministry informed on its website that during the meeting both parties exchanged on issues of common interest and ratified the mutual willingness to strengthen political, economic, trade, and cooperation ties.

 

The Cuban side was represented by Emilio Lozada García, general director of Bilateral Affairs of the Foreign Ministry, and Luis Amorós Núñez, director of Sub-Saharan Africa of this ministry.

 

The Kenyan delegation was headed by Richard Ngatia, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Angeline K. Musili, director of the Americas of the Kenyan Foreign Ministry, and Gathoga Chege, Kenyan ambassador to Cuba.

 

On Monday, Miguel Diaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, exchanged with Nganga Mutua, to whom he ratified the country's willingness to strengthen and expand relations with Kenya.

 

Nganga Mutua is on an official visit to the island that will last until Tuesday. This is the best opportunity to reaffirm the good state of bilateral relations between the two nations. (Source: ACN)
