Cuba promotes business in the department of Bolivia

Havana, Apr 14 (RHC) - Cuban ambassador to Bolivia Danilo Sánchez highlighted on his Twitter account the importance of a meeting with businessmen from the central department of Cochabamba, at the headquarters of that regional government.

"Meeting with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries and businessmen from the Department of Cochabamba, to promote the trade and investment portfolios that #Cuba offers," the diplomat wrote.

Sánchez thus referred to the meeting he led together with Wildo Dolz, vice president of the chamber structure, and the general secretary of General Coordination in the Government, Pedro Juan Carvajal.

The Cuban diplomat thanked the reception in the Casa Grande del Pueblo de Cochabamba -seat of the territorial government-, and evoked the strong ties created by the presence of Cuban doctors in this department of Bolivia until November 2019.

He reiterated Cuba's willingness to strengthen collaboration with Cochabamba businessmen based on current circumstances, and invited them to the tenth edition of ExpoAladi-2023, the largest promotional event of the Latin American Integration Association. This economic-commercial event will be held from October 2 to 4 at the Havana Convention Center and will include a business macro-round. The ambassador added that the Havana Trade Fair will take place in November and stressed that the Bolivian representation will be very well received.

Carvajal commented that the Cochabamba department finds opportunities for cooperation with Cuba in areas such as tourism, science and technology, culture and sports. He added that in June the International Fair will take place in Cochabamba, a moment that he considered propitious for a representation of the Cuban business community to participate with proposals.
