Japanese businessman is interested in tourism in Cuba

Havana, Jul 21 (RHC) The owner of the Japanese company TMC Co. Ltd., Kiyokazu Tanikawa, affirmed today that Cuba is a very attractive country and its tourism is constantly growing.

For this businessman, such elements represent a guarantee in the advancement of cocktails, a segment where Japanese whiskeys can occupy an enormous space. His firm is dedicated to the purchase and sale of whiskeys and other liquors for the foreign market.

These statements appear after his talk at the presentation and tasting of the Japanese whiskeys in the most recent hours in Havana.

The meeting was held at the provisional legal headquarters of the Association of Cuban Bartenders (ACC), which is located at Avenida Paseo, Number 79, between Third and Fifth streets, in the Plaza de la Revolución municipality, in Havana.

Before professionals from Cuba such as bartenders and sommeliers, spirit products of this type such as The Yamazaki (12 years), The Hakushu (Santory Whisky) and Kirin Whiskey Fuji-Sanroku, were presented with the purpose of marketing them in this country.

Tanikawa reiterated his confidence that these drinks will be accepted on the Caribbean island due to their quality, as well as the potential for restaurants, bars and hotels.

He also pointed out that there is currently a formidable cocktail bar in Havana, and its bartenders stand out.

The Japanese specialist said that the products presented appear on the list of the top 10 produced in that Asian nation, internationally famous.

He also confessed that it would be extremely interesting to be able to make very good cocktails with them, and although they are not yet sold in this country, he is certain that they will be accepted by bartenders, tourists, and consumers in general.

He highlighted the work carried out by the members of the Association of Cuban Bartenders (ACC), through which he was able to promote these drinks in the country, and his effort to promote knowledge and dissemination of still unknown products among nationals. (Source: PL)
