Cuba and Irak want to strengthen bilateral ties

 

Havana, Sep 12 (RHC) Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez, spoke today on telephone with his counterpart from Irak, Fuad Husseein, and they agreed on the interest of strengthening bilateral ties.

Rodríguez detailed in his X account that they also spoke about multilateral coordination in the context of the G77 and China to face common challenges, as well as common themes of the regional and international agenda.

Husseein highlighted on the same network the dialogue with the head of Cuban diplomacy with the aim of expanding ties between the two nations.

The president of Irak, Abdelatif Rashid, will participate in the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the G77 and China that will meet in Havana next weekend.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Caribbean nation stressed that the meeting will address South-South cooperation on issues of innovation and development, allow the unity of member countries to be strengthened, and decide on collective and practical actions to effectively confront contemporary challenges.
