Havana, April 22 (RHC)-- The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, remembered today through his account in X, the martyrs of revolutionary diplomacy Adriana Corcho and Efrén Monteagudo, victims of terrorism 48 years ago.

In his profile on the social network, the Cuban foreign minister reaffirmed the commitment of the workers of that ministry to his country, and the willingness to confront those who use hatred and terrorism to try to destroy the Revolution.

Corcho and Monteagudo were killed after the explosion of a bomb placed at the Cuban Embassy in Lisbon, Portugal, in which 4 other members of the diplomatic mission were injured.

Fortunately, a dozen children of various ages, children of Cuban officials, were at that moment carrying out an activity outside the diplomatic headquarters.

The attack on the Cuban Embassy in Lisbon is not an isolated event in the more than 6 decades of violent attacks against Cuban diplomacy.

Such actions include injuries, disappearances, murders of officials and attacks on diplomatic headquarters or commercial offices of the island in around thirty countries, encouraged by Washington's constant and hostile rhetoric against Havana, the Minrex recalled.

There are thousands of Cubans who have died from terrorist acts in the more than 60 years of the Revolution, that source added. (Source: Prensa Latina)
