Havana, July 6 (RHC)-- In the midst of the challenging context that Cuba is experiencing, the second and last work session of the VIII Plenary Session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party is being held, headed by its First Secretary and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermudez.

This Saturday, at the Palace of the Revolution, the discussion of an agenda focused on cardinal issues for the political, economic and social spheres of the country continues.

The morning's agenda began with the analysis of the results achieved in food production and the implementation of the Food Sovereignty and Nutritional Education Law, an issue that constitutes a strategic priority of the nation and requires a battle that requires everyone.

This Plenary Session dedicates part of its debate to one of the greatest concerns of the Cuban population at the current time. The stability achieved in this matter, as in others in national life, will offer guarantees for the gradual recovery of problems of an economic and social nature.

The partisan debate of this meeting will also include the evaluation of a document referring to the fulfillment of actions aimed at preventing and confronting corruption, crime, illegalities and social indiscipline. These are phenomena that threaten the well-being of society and the sacred conquests achieved by our people,

This new Plenary Session of the Central Committee becomes a space to analyze the work of the Party in these complex times. Under the premise that militants must be at the center of solving problems, the debate on the country's priorities is being very helpful.

The agreements that emerge from the meeting will be the subject of special attention, with a view to guaranteeing the necessary improvements in our society, particularly in the correction of distortions and the reinvigoration of the economy, and where the participation of the militants is decisive in the production of food and in national development programs.

In the current circumstances, the guide for partisan work is the maxim of the leader of the Revolution, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, who pointed out:  "We are going to get out of these difficulties, as we have always done, by struggling!"
