Havana, July 30 (RHC)-- Casa de las Américas in Havana, Cuba, congratulated the people of Bolívar and Chávez and President Nicolás Maduro on Monday for the great victory obtained at the polls, through a statement entitled “Fascism in Venezuela will not return.”

"Casa de las Américas wants to reiterate today its congratulations to the people of Bolívar and Chávez and President Maduro for the great victory obtained a few hours ago.  It also rejects the interventionist escalation, the destabilizing plans underway and the shameless use of lies.  Today, we must defend the truth and democracy of Venezuela," the text highlights.

The Havana-based cultural institution said that "yesterday the spirit of Ayacucho triumphed at the polls, despite the hybrid war of the U.S. against Venezuela and the incessant media campaign in the hegemonic press and on social networks."

Likewise, it assured that the majority of the Venezuelan nation voted for Nicolás Maduro, whom it described as "the heir of Commander Chávez."  "And the people voted for the continuity of the Bolivarian Revolution, for peace and social justice," the statement said.

Casa de las Americas also highlighted that "the spirit of Monroe remains alive and active in Our America. That new, emboldened and euphoric fascism that we denounced last June reappears, with some sudden allies, to sow doubts about the cleanliness of the Venezuelan electoral authorities and to request the intervention of the sinister OAS, always ready to legitimize the aggressions of the empire.”

Casa de Las Américas denounced that “nine Latin American nations represented by their foreign ministers rushed, before the official announcement of the National Electoral Council, to express a “deep concern about the development of the presidential elections of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela” and to demand “the complete review of the results with the presence of independent electoral observers.”

It also referred to the bellicose statements of the Argentine president Javier Milei, who predicted a victory that he described as overwhelming for the opposition and assured that “Argentina will not recognize another fraud and hopes that the Armed Forces this time defend democracy and the popular will.”

Casa de las Americas also included the statements of Mauricio Macri, who called on the Venezuelan Armed Forces to “stand on the right side of history and ensure that the will of the people is respected,” having previously declared the defeat of the candidate of the Great Patriotic Pole Simón Bolívar.

In this regard, the statement included the words of Nicolás Maduro who stressed that “fascism in Venezuela, the land of Bolívar and Chávez, will not pass neither today nor ever.”
