Cambodia for strengthening relations with Cuba in social communication

Havana, Feb 10 (RHC) The Minister of Information of Cambodia, Neth Pheaktra, has announced their readiness to establish communication channels with the Institute of Social Communication of Cuba and to enhance the existing bilateral cooperation.

Pheaktra discussed this matter with Cuban ambassador Milena Zaldívar, who extended an invitation for the Cambodian minister to participate in the Fourth International Homeland Colloquium, to be held from March 17 to 19 in Havana.

The minister characterized the conference as a well-timed gathering, whose sessions will provide a platform for enhancing collective efforts in addressing the current issues of communication, misinformation, hate speech, and various forms of media manipulation.

Pheaktra and Zaldívar highlighted the success of the current collaboration between the Cuban news agency Prensa Latina and the Cambodian National Press Agency.

This partnership not only enhances the cooperation between the two media, but also fosters awareness of the true nature of both nations in the areas of culture, sports, economics, and tourism, among other subjects.

The meeting also addressed various proposals for commemorating the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Cambodia. (Source: Prensa Latina)
