Caracas, December 23 (RHC-acn) -- Héctor Rodríguez, Minister of Education of Venezuela, sent his greetings to Cuban teachers for the celebration of Teacher's Day, commemorated yesterday in Cuba.

During a meeting with the Cuban press accredited in the South American country, Rodriguez, who also serves as the Vice President for Social Area and Missions, expressed his appreciation for the love and affection of the hundreds of Cuban volunteers who serve as advisors in the Robinson, Ribas and Sucre Educational Missions.

"Many things have been said about the Cuban Revolution, but no one can deny their success in sports, health and education. It has the best education in Latin America and the Caribbean measured by all international indicators and one of the best in the world,” he said.

Rodriguez added that Venezuela is working every day to raise school enrollment rates, general knowledge and Cuba's advice has been decisive, with its experiences, strengths and weaknesses.

Since the beginning of the Cuba-Venezuela cooperation agreement, thousands of Cuban education professionals have worked in the land of Bolívar, in which there are currently more than 450 teachers of different specialties and educational programs.
