Havana, September 19 (RHC)-- The First Lady of Panama, Lorena Castillo, is visiting Havana to learn about Cuban experiences in heritage preservation and special education initiatives.

Sources from the Panama Secretariat for Community Affairs, which Lorena Castillo presides over, indicated that the first lady is especially interested in the teaching methods used at the special school Solidaridad con Panamá (Solidarity with Panama), here in Havana, which is attended by primary school children with different physical disabilities.

The visiting first lady of Panama said she is also interested in learning about Cuban restoration and preservation practices, particularly in Old Havana. She added that some of those practices could well be implemented to preserve historical sites in Panama.
