President Raúl Castro Sends Message of Condolences to President Obama over Orlando Attacks

Havana, June 14 (RHC)-- President Raúl Castro has sent a message of condolences to his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama, following the tragic event events in Orlando, Florida, on June 12th.

In his missive, the Cuban head of state expressed sorrow over the loss of innocent lives as a consequence of Sunday's mass shooting  at a nightclub in the city of Orlando, Florida, which left more than 50 others injured.

The message, dated June 13th, reads: “I convey the most heartfelt condolences on behalf of the Cuban people and government to the people and government of the United States, in particular to those affected by this tragedy and families of the victims.”

President Raúl Castro concluded by reiterating Cuba's strong rejection and condemnation of all acts of terrorism and hate anywhere, under any circumstance, and for whatever reason.
