Havana, June 28 (RHC)-- Cuba reaffirmed its commitment to continue contributing to the fight against racism, beyond its borders, through selfless, voluntary cooperation, and sacrifice by their aid workers.

In a debate on the issue at the regular session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, Anayansi Rodriguez, the Cuban representative to international organizations in this Swiss city, affirmed Cuba's will to continue implementing the Program of Activities of the International decade for people of African Descent.

She also emphasized that the strong policies and enforcement by the Caribbean nation globally against racial discrimination and the priority given to fighting the remnants of separatist prejudices that still exist, has been widely documented.

In this sense, she considered that this issue is linked to the unwavering aspiration to achieve an increasingly full and fair society, and recognised the importance of outlining policies for advancement in solving the issues and in strengthening international cooperation for a world in which equality and mutual respect prevail.
