Trofin: Cuban Anti-Anemia Medication Increases Production this Year

Cuba will noticeably increase its production of Trofin, an effective anti-anemia medication, following improvement at the Immunology and Biological Products Center, in eastern Holguin province.
 
Center director Rolando Sanchez told reporters that a recently installed 500-litter reactor is now operating at full capacity to contribute some 165 thousand Trofin bottles of 235 milliliters each.
 
The figure is four folds what was produced by the end of 2013, while its reveals that the Holguin plant is the largest Trofin producer on the island.
 
Sanchez said that they also purchased a new water-treatment plant in order to provide water with the required specifications to produce the medication. He also referred to investment at the center to improve steam and cooling systems.
 
Trofin is made from cattle blood, bee honey, and a hydrolyzing substance obtained from the stomach of cows. The production process goes through a rigorous control system, which includes from the reception of the raw materials appropriately certified through the industrial process, sale and post sale service.
 
Trofin availability will noticeably increase at the local drugstore network.
