On Sunday, a meeting of the international extreme right took place in Madrid, capital of Spain, sponsored by the VOX party with the aim of collecting votes for the European Parliament elections on September 9th.

In my opinion, the result of this conclave, where industrial quantities of hatred and shamelessness were distilled, will have a result diametrically opposite to that expected by Santiago Abascal and his army because all the norms of peaceful coexistence, ethics and common sense were violated there. .

The same Spanish leader opened fire against initiatives such as the 2030 agenda, the so-called “green pact” and what has been called “woke thinking”, issues that are worth clarifying even succinctly.

The 2030 agenda is a compendium of 17 objectives established by the UN to eliminate problems such as poverty, hunger, inequalities, illiteracy and other scourges in that year.

The green deal is the effort necessary to stop climate change that today causes suffering, death or migration of large groups of individuals around the world and could end life on the planet.

Regarding woke thinking, this is a term of origin in the black communities of the United States and is applied to those who seek equality among all people, regardless of their race, gender, sexual orientation or socioeconomic condition.

Said like this, I declare myself woke, I support the 2030 agenda, even knowing that it will not be fulfilled, precisely because of people like Abascal, and I aspire for my grandchildren and great-grandchildren to inherit a world where they can breathe.

But that was not the worst thing about that forum because there were guests there who exhibited their stupidity and illustrated what the extreme right means today.

One of them was the Chilean José Antonio Kast, who called the president of his country a “political transvestite” and earned repudiation even from the right.

Even worse was the behavior of Argentine Javier Milei, who says he consulted with the spirit of his dog to guide his behavior.

Neither the presidential investiture nor the quality of representative of his country, nor his status as a guest in Spain, could moderate this individual who described the wife of the president of the government, Pedro Sánchez, as corrupt, and unleashed an international conflict with unforeseeable consequences.

Although Europe is still old, but no longer as cultured or as wise, neither of these two did VOX a favor, if the issue was about raising votes for the European Chamber.
