Congress on Higher Education
Havana, Jan. 22 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel will deliver the opening conference on February 7th of the 13th International Congress on Higher Education ‘Universidad 2022’.
According to the channel of the Cuban Ministry of Higher Education on Telegram, the conference will deal with government’s performance based on science and innovation: advances and challenges.
The Congress will run through February 11th with the slogan: «University and Innovation for Sustainable, Inclusive Development».
Beginning on February 3rd, the social media platform will stream pre-congress courses.
Highlights of the upcoming international congress include the forum ‘Higher Education and the Sustainable Development Objectives’ and a symposium on the links between university and the economy, a strategic vision for sustainable development.
The Instagram channel of the Ministry of Higher Education highlights the participation in the congress of Frances Pedró, director of the International Institute of the Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization -Unesco- for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean, and prestigious intellectuals like Frei Betto and Atilio Borón.
