Havana, July 25 (RHC) – Cuban women´s handball team started off the Pan-Am schedule with a loss against the Brazilians by score of 29-20.
In a match in which the best offensive player was Brazilian Bruna De Paula with 6 goals, while Cuba´s best was Jennifer Toledo, who scored 4 goals, all of them from over 9 meters distance.
Shot accuracy for the Cuban team was not bad and they finished the game with a 42% of effectiveness although they were too vertical in their game and did not use the hole court when attacking. This was evident in their lack of goals scored from the wings.
Cuba´s next rival in women´s handball will be Puerto Rico on Thursday.
