The National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER) and the South African Embassy in Cuba are calling for the 7th Run for Mandela in person.
Havana, July 14 (RHC)-- The National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER) and the South African Embassy in Cuba are calling for the 7th Run for Mandela in person.
The organizers of the event propose Saturday, July 30 to honor Madiba with races and walks, which will also be a qualifier for Marabana 2022.
The distance to be covered will be 6.5 kilometers and the starting point will be outside the 1830 Restaurant. The circuit includes the Havana Malecon to the Avenida de los Estudiantes, the Avenida de las Misiones and the finish line in front of the Museum of the Revolution.
According to the organizers, the first three to cross the finish line in both genders will be awarded diplomas, as well as the three from the podium of the associations of people with disabilities.
The individual times will be considered circuit records and each runner will have them in his or her personal history. The call will have the technical support of the National Commission of Races and Walks Marabana - Maracuba.
Registration for the race will take place on July 28 and 29 at Marabana's offices in Havana's Sports City.
Walkers are reminded that the bibs issued for the Cacahual-Ciudad Deportiva Race will remain valid, so only those who did not participate in that race will be registered.
