Havana, January 12 (RHC)-- The president of Little League Baseball, Stephen Keener, held today a fruitful exchange with Juan Reynaldo Pérez Pardo, president of the Cuban Baseball Federation (FCB) before the Cuban accredited press, at the Latin American Stadium.
Keener expressed that the most significant value in a collaboration agreement with the FCB is that they committed to a high amount of equipment based on the FCB's needs, be it balls, gloves or other implements.
"My greatest achievement would be to build a field in Cuba for Little League. Our ultimate interest is for children to play the sport they love the most. We can learn a lot by watching the kids," he said.
Stephen Keener confirmed that Cuba and Little League will extend for four years their collaboration agreement, and certified that there are also talks to introduce special support for Cuban women's softball and the different categories of Little League work for this sport.
Meanwhile, the President of the Cuban Federation thanked the working relationship with Little League and signified that this new agreement will have repercussions for all of national baseball.
Cuba will participate directly in the next Little League World Series in August in Pennsylvania
