Havana, May 2 (RHC)-- Girona shattered Sevilla's ambitions of climbing up the standings in the Spanish soccer league by beating them 2-0 on matchday 32.

Juanpe Ramírez in the 23rd minute and Argentine Valentín "Taty" Castellanos (55th) scored the goals at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán stadium.

With this victory, the team coached by Michel Sánchez moved up to eighth place with 44 points, the same accumulated points as Osasuna, although with a better difference of goals scored and allowed, and the Andalusian team remained in 11th place (41 points).

On the other hand, Iñaki Williams avoided Athletic Club's defeat this Monday at Son Moix against Mallorca by scoring a penalty in the 96th minute to level the score at one and score his ninth goal of the season.

For the Balearic club, South Korean Kang-In Lee (58th minute) scored his sixth goal of the season.
