Havana, August 23 (JIT) - Three more medals were won by the Cuban judo squad at the Ekaterinburg 2023 International University Sports Festival in Russia.
Yusmary Reyes lifted the crown in the 63 kg division, after defeating Belarusian Palina Slesarenka in the final.
In the 52 kg division, Alianny Carbonell won one of the bronze medals after a competition widely dominated by the Russian representatives.
Jorge Carlos Pineda also won a bronze medal in the 100 kg category, which was the third prize of the day and the team's sixth in the competition.
By countries, Russia won the medal tally in this sport with 11 crowns, followed by Cuba with two and Tajikistan with one.
The Cuban performance closed with two gold medals, one silver and three bronze.
