Havana, Jul 2 (RHC) Cuba's star athletes Leyanis Perez Hernandez and Liadagmis Povea will participate in the Hercules Meeting on July 12, corresponding to the Diamond League in Monaco, Cuban athletics authorities confirmed.

For the Cuban triple jumpers, it will be an ideal opportunity to consolidate their excellent form and get ready for the Olympic Games in Paris.

It will be their last competition before the Olympic Games, in which they are two of the candidates for the podium, according to specialists.

Leyanis, a student of Ricardo Ponce Paret, has two world medals, and Povea, under the guidance of Yoelbis Quesada, is an Olympic and world finalist.

Another confirmed figure in the women's triple jump in Monaco is Olympic medalist and European champion Ana Peleteiro, prepared by Iván Pedroso.
