Tashkent, Sept 30 (PL) Argentina defeated Kazakhstan 6-1 today on the pitch of the Humo Arena and reached its ticket to the semifinals of the Futsal World Cup being played in this Central Asian country.
After finishing first in Group C by beating Ukraine (7-1), Angola (9-5) and Afghanistan (2-1), Matías Lucuix's Albicelestes defeated Croatia 2-0 in the quarterfinals to reach this stage and keep alive their aspirations of winning the trophy as they did eight years ago in the edition organized in Colombia.
After a scoreless first half, the Argentinean party started in the second half with a goal by Matías Rosa and continued with goals by Ángel Claudiño, Sebastián Corso, Lucas Alemany, and two by Kevin Arrrieta.
The South Americans' opponent on Thursday for a place in the final will be France, a team that defeated Paraguay 2-1.
The day before, Brazil and Ukraine were victorious in their matches against Morocco (3-1) and Venezuela (9-4), respectively, and will face each other on Wednesday in the other match.
