DeNA vs SoftBank
Havana, Nov 1 (PL) - The DeNA All-Stars are firmly aiming to win the Japan Professional Baseball League by getting a 3-2 advantage in the final series against the SoftBank Falcons, and only need a success.
In the last matchup, the Yokohama team blanked the Falcons again in Fukuoka, this time 7-0, and only needs one win to win its first national crown in 26 years.
American right-hander Andre Jackson earned the victory by giving up just three hits and no runs in seven innings.
Game 6 will be played on Saturday at Yokohama Stadium, where DeNA will have a chance to become champions for the first time since 1998.
For the Softbank Falcons, Cuba's best pitcher at present, left-hander Liván Moinelo, has been outstanding throughout the season.
