Havana, Nov 14 (JIT) - Hector Daniel Perez won two medals in athletics and Dagney Lopez a subtitle in Blitz chess, to increase the medal harvest of the Cuban delegation in the continuation of the 6th Deaf Pan American Games of Canoas 2024, in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul.

No one could go further than Hector Daniel - silver medalist in the shot put - in the javelin throwing event. The villaclareño's throw threw the implement up to 47.43 meters, to be six meters ahead of the silver medal winner.

In chess, the actions of the fastest games concluded with new ascents of Cubans to the podium. This time it was Dagney Lopez's turn to celebrate with the silver medal, after scoring four points out of a possible five.

The representative of the island gave in his first match and then linked four successes to escort the Colombian Andres David Mendez, leader with 4.5 units. Costa Rica's Emilio Murillo completed the triad of winners, also with four points.
