Manchester City
London, Dec 29 (PL) Manchester City beat Leicester 2-0 away today and returned to winning ways in the English Premier League.
Brazilian Savinho, just 20 years old, and Norwegian Erling Haaland scored the winning goals for the team led by Spanish coach Josep Guardiola, who is in the midst of the worst results crisis since his debut as manager.
Prior to Sunday's match, City had accumulated just one win, three draws and 10 defeats in their last 14 matches in all competitions, something never seen before in the sky-blue club's history under Guardiola.
With today's win, Manchester City climbed to fifth place in the Premier League, with 31 points, 11 behind leaders Liverpool (42), who will play later against West Ham (23).
Also on Sunday, Tottenham drew 2-2 against Wolverhampton, as did Fulham against Bournemouth, while Nottingham beat Everton 2-0 and Crystal Palace beat Southampton 2-1.
