Washington, Jan 2 (PL) Spanish soccer player Lamine Yamal returned to training today with FC Barcelona and could be available for the Spanish Super Cup.

Although he is not yet medically cleared, the 17-year old azulgrana phenom has been training with the group and is facing the final stretch of his recovery, according to the Catalan newspaper Sport, which is close to the Barcelona club.

It is worth remembering that the champion and Most Valuable Player of the Euro 2024 Nations Cup was injured last December against Leganés, with a grade one sprain of the anterior intertibial-peroneal ligament of the right ankle.

Lamine will be out of action next Saturday, in the Copa del Rey match between Barcelona and Barbastro, the media stressed, before emphasizing that Barcelona could have him available next Wednesday, in the Supercopa semifinals against Athletic Bilbao.

Despite his young age, Yamal is the cornerstone of the sporting project of the azulgrana team, to the point that the team accumulates extremely negative results when the striker does not start.
