Havana, 5 Jan (JIT) - Beach volleyball will have a wide and exquisite universal season in 2025, which includes from March 15 phases of the World Pro Tour and a spectacular closing in November with the world championship in Adelaide, Australia.
Cuba's leading duo of Noslen Diaz and Jorge Luis Alayo should be enrolled in several stops of the important circuit with the goal of qualifying for the main event of the discipline this season, scheduled from 14 to 23 of the penultimate month of the year.
The duo from Artemisa and Villa Clara has placed 17th in the world championships of Rome 2022 and Tlaxcala 2023, but its main objective will undoubtedly be to advance to the prestigious tournament that concludes nine months of tournaments in the five continents.
Nine stages of the highest level, Elite, with the presence of 16 couples located at the forefront of the world ranking, as well as six of the Challenge level, which animate in each one 32 duets in each gender.
The Pro Tour kicks off with three consecutive weekends in Mexican courts: the Challenge (C) in Yucatan (March 20-23), the Elite (E) in Quintana Roo (March 26-30), and the other Challenge in Veracruz (April 3-6).
It continues in April with tournaments in Brazil, in Saquarema (C/10-13), and Brasilia (E/16-20), before moving on to China, in Xiamen (C/15-18 May).
The next four phases are in European countries: in Ostrava, Czech Republic (May 28 to June 1), in Gstaad, Switzerland (July 2 to 6), in Stare Jablonki, Poland (August 21 to 24) and in Hamburg, Germany (August 27 to 31).
It continues in South America with Elite phases in Brazil in September (17-21 and 24-28) at venues to be defined, and in October there will be stops in Nuvali, Philippines (W/C 16-19), and Cape Town, South Africa (W/C 22-26) to conclude the circuit in Doha, Qatar (W/C 5-9 November).
Five days later, Adelaide will host the world's best duos of the planet that won their place during the extensive season of the Pro Tour, which is expected to be well animated by experienced players, as well as the new talents that were already seen in the closing of the Olympic cycle, among them the medalists of the Paris 2024 Games.
