CANBERRA, March 21st (RHC) Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA), the coordinating organization in the operation of searching missing Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370, released on Friday the timetable for five aircraft involved in the search.

AMSA said a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) P-3 Orion departed for the search area at around 9.15 a.m. A civil Gulfstream jet, the latest aircraft tasked by AMSA in the search operation, and a second RAAF P-3 Orion are due to depart for the search area at approximately 11 a.m.

A third RAAF P3 Orion is due to depart for the search area at approximately 1 p.m. The U.S. Navy P-8 Poseidon aircraft is due to depart at approximately 4 p.m. (0500 GMT).

Due to the distance to and from the search area, the aircraft involved have an endurance of approximately two hours of search time.

Air Commandore John McGarry said at the press conference on Thursday it would take four hours for the aircraft to arrive at the area from RAAF Base Pearce near Perth.

One merchant vessel is currently in the search area. A second merchant vessel is due to arrive Friday night.
