Tel Aviv, May 6 (RHC)-- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Sunday that he has instructed his country's armed forces to continue their massive attacks on the Gaza Strip.  Netanyahu claimed that "Hamas bears responsibility for its actions, but also for the activities of the Islamic Jihad and pays a very heavy price."

The Israeli Armed Forces said they targeted more than 230 sites in Gaza since Saturday; this has resulted in the death of at least 11 Palestinians.  Among those killed by the Israeli forces on Saturday was a pregnant woman along with her child.  Israel alleges she was killed by Palestinian rocket.

Israel has blamed Hamas for the recent escalation in the conflict and has already begun to amass troops along the border of Gaza.
