Kabul, December 19 (RHC)-- The largest U.S. and NATO air base in Afghanistan, Bagram Airfield, was attacked this Saturday morning with at least four rockets, reports the TOLOnews channel.
According to Bagram district governor Abdul Shakoor Qudosi, the rockets were fired from the Qalandarkhil area in Parwan province, the same area where Bagram is located. A total of ten BM-12 rockets had been placed on a truck. The police managed to prevent the launching of six of them.
NATO representatives in the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul, confirmed the attack. "The initial report is that there were no casualties and the base was not damaged," said the alliance's agency Pajhwok.
