Brasilia, January 31 (RHC)-- The "Stop Bolsonaro Mundial" movement -- organized by activists living in Brazil and abroad belonging to different Brazilian collectives and many other nationalities -- held its fourth international day on Sunday.

The popular pressure for the impeachment trial against President Jair Bolsonaro in the Brazilian Congress, has been increasing in recent weeks.  In at least 20 countries, there were events in the streets and on social networks during the fourth edition of Stop Bolsonaro Mundial on Sunday.  In addition, several Brazilian cities promoted the second #ForaBolsonaro Caravan.

As in previous editions, the protests are against the necropolitics adopted by Bolsonaro's government, materialized in the neglect of the pandemic caused by the new coronavirus, which has already caused the death of more than 220,000 people in the South American country.

According to the organization Stop Bolsonaro Mundial, the movement denounces, once again, the genocide caused by the denial and mismanagement of the Brazilian government in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The environmental crimes committed in series by the Brazilian government, such as the devastation of the Amazon and the Pantanal, is also being highlighted -- in addition to racism, misogyny, homophobia and hate speech spread through fake news.

The Stop Bolsonaro Mundial organization brings together activists from different political parties, of all faiths and backgrounds, feminists, anti-racists, anti-fascists, environmentalists, human rights defenders and leaders of social movements.

"It is necessary to understand that it is not normal that a government simply ignores the problems pertinent to the country and the population, that it governs only in the interest of its own interests and that of its gangster family," says the movement.
