Gaza City, June 25 (RHC)-- Israel has launched seven separate airstrikes on the besieged Gaza Strip as the wave of aggression on the blockaded Palestinian enclave continues unabated. According to Press TV, Israeli warplanes carried out the air raids on the western, northern, central and southern areas of the Gaza Strip on Tuesday.
Palestinian sources say that at least two people were injured in the attacks. The Israeli military said the bombings followed several rocket attacks launched from the coastal strip, which have continued over the past weeks, despite the unity deal signed between the Palestinian Authority and Hamas, the militant group that rules over Gaza since 2006.
The latest attacks by the Israeli regime against Palestinians came as three Israeli teenagers allegedly went missing in the West Bank on June 12th. Israel has accused the Palestinian militant group Hamas of being behind the disappearance of the children. However, Hamas has denied any involvement.
Gaza has been blockaded since June 2007, a situation that has caused a decline in the standards of living, unprecedented levels of unemployment, and unrelenting poverty.
