In the United States, more than 1,400 workers across all of Kellogg’s cereal plants went on strike — as union negotiations have stalled for more than a year.

Battle Creek, October 6 (RHC)-- In the United States, more than 1,400 workers across all of Kellogg’s cereal plants went on strike — as union negotiations have stalled for more than a year.

The strike includes plants in Omaha, Nebraska; Battle Creek, Michigan; Lancaster, Pennsylvania; and Memphis, Tennessee.  A union representative says Kellogg’s is threatening to outsource jobs to Mexico if workers don’t accept the company’s proposals, which include loss of premium healthcare, holiday and vacation pay, and reduced retirement benefits.  Kellogg's workers are also demanding better wages.
