Managua, November 4 (RHC)-- Just days before the 2021 general elections in Nicaragua, the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) leads the voting intention with 70.7 percent, according to the results of the pollster M&R Consultores.

The results of the poll show the high level of acceptance of the FSLN candidates and President Daniel Ortega by the Nicaraguan people.  The poll, carried out from October 16th to the 23rd, revealed the citizens' intention to maintain peace, stability and progress and their confidence in the Sandinista government regarding indicators such as the capacity to solve problems and communications.

According to 69.8 percent of those polled, the future of the Central American country in the next five years will be one of stability, security and economic progress and 79.3 percent recognize the progress made in Nicaragua since the return to power of the FSLN after the 2006 elections.

According to the opinion poll, 71.1 percent said the FSLN government and its institutions were doing a good job, while 76.8 percent considered that the work of President Daniel Ortega is very good.   For 74.6 percent of those polled, Nicaragua would be better off with an FSLN government, while 77.5 percent considered that the Sandinista government should continue to govern the country.  And 87.1 percent of those polled indicated that the next president of Nicaragua will come from the FSLN.

Next Sunday, November 7th, Nicaragua will hold elections to choose the president, vice-president and deputies to the National Assembly (NA) and the Central American Parliament (Parlacen).
