Brasilia, August 26 (RHC)-- The free election advertising on radio and television for the candidates for the October general elections in Brazil starts this Friday and will conclude on September 29.

The broadcasting for the governor, state or district deputy, and senator positions kicks off Friday, while those for the candidates for president of the Republic and federal parliamentarian will be on Saturday.

For those who go to the October 30 runoff, the advertising broadcast will take place between October 7 and 28.

On Tuesday, the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) approved a resolution that deals with the rules for the distribution of free election advertising time for the country's presidential candidates.

According to the division made by the court, candidates Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva of the Workers' Party and Jair Bolsonaro of the Liberal Party will concentrate almost more than 50 percent of the free election time.

The first-round vote will occur on October 2, when some 156,5 million Brazilians will cast their votes.
