Buenos Aires, August 29 (RHC)--The Front for All (FdT) block of deputies is evaluating legislative, political, and legal actions in the face of the violence exercised by the capital's police during a demonstration in support of Argentine Vice-President Cristina Fernández.

In a statement, the members of the Lower House of Congress denounced the repression against citizens and leaders such as the former president's son, Máximo Kirchner, a member of that body.

We stand in solidarity with all the comrades who were victims of violence yesterday. We demand that the city government identify the police officers involved in the repression against Kirchner, says the text.

On Saturday, numerous mobilizations took place in different regions of Argentina to support the former head of state. Thousands of people came to the vicinity of her apartment in the Recoleta neighborhood to condemn the fences' installation as the police deployment in the area.

The officers repressed those present with tear gas, hydrant trucks, and batons, a journalist covering the events was hit hard on the head, and several were arrested, among them two deputies.
