La Paz, November 13 (RHC)-- The Central Obrera Departamental (COD) of Santa Cruz in Bolivia demanded this Saturday that the perpetrators of the aggressions against its headquarters be prosecuted by law while assuring that they were organized by the governor Luis Fernando Camacho.

The executive secretary of the COD, Rolando Borda, urged the government to punish the perpetrators of "these acts of vandalism, jail for the fascists" and stressed that "this crime is under the command" of Camacho and the president of the Civic Committee, Rómulo Calvo.

At the same time, the Bolivian leader pointed out that "they did not even respect the medical offices to steal the equipment with which health care is provided to the poor brothers and sisters who have nowhere to turn for treatment."

Borda denounced that the destabilizers stole furniture, computers, personal belongings of the doctors and physically assaulted the workers who were in the entity.

He also accused the vice-president of the Unión Juvenil Cruceñista (UJC), Lucas Vaca, of leading the looting and burning of the Federation of Farmers and of being "the main instigator of the burning of the COD executive's house."

Accordingly, Borda expressed that "we hold Lucas Vaca responsible for the loss of lives and material goods. At this moment, several peasant and worker leaders are being persecuted."  As a result, criminal charges will also be filed against the leaders of the Interinstitutional Committee of Santa Cruz for promoting the strike since October 22 with the aim of destabilizing the Plurinational Government.
