Mexico City, December 23 (RHC)-- Lilia Paredes, Pedro Castillo's wife, has published a message on Twitter in which she thanked the government of Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador for the political asylum granted to her and her two children.

"Dear brothers and sisters of my homeland: I am very grateful for the solidarity my family has received.  I thank the Government of Mexico and you for your permanent concern.  We are going through a very difficult time, but we are united and your permanent support strengthens us," she said.

Lilia Paredes also asked human rights organizations to ensure that the individual guarantees of the Peruvians who are demonstrating are respected and called for attention be paid to her husband's health.
