United Nations, June 10 (RHC)-- A United Nations special rapporteur warns international support for more than one million Rohingya refugees living in Bangladeshi camps is “grossly insufficient.”
According to the UN, about $876 million is needed to support Rohingya refugees for a year, but only 17% of that has been pledged to date.
The World Food Program has been forced to make additional cuts due to funding shortages, dramatically scaling back its food assistance efforts for Rohingya refugees.
