American-Turkish activist Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, killed by an Israeli sharp shooter

Washington, September 11 (RHC)-- U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has said that he condemned Israel’s killing of American-Turkish activist Aysenur Ezgi Eygi during a call with his Israeli counterpart, Yoav Gallant.

“[I] expressed my grave concern over the [Israeli army’s] responsibility for the unprovoked and unjustified death of American citizen Aysenur Eygi in the West Bank,” he wrote in a post on X.

“I urged the Minister to reexamine the [Israeli army’s] rules of engagement while operating in the West Bank,” Austin added.

Critics of the genocidal war on Gaza said that the head of the Pentagon should have added: "Yeah... and forget the other 41,000.

Austin’s comments come shortly after U.S. President Joe Biden labelled the fatal shooting of Eygi at a protest in the occupied West Bank an “accident.”  “[The bullet] ricocheted off the ground and she got hit by accident,” Biden told reporters.
