Caracas, December 31 (RHC)-- Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil stated that "Mr. Gerardo Werthein, the current foreign minister of the grotesque political experiment represented by (President Javier) Milei, embodies a historical disgrace for the people" of that South American nation.

Through a statement, Gil assured that Werthein "does not have the moral authority to speak about Venezuela, and even less to question our Public Powers and our Attorney General."  In addition to urging him to take "some lessons in dignity, the kind that the Werthein family, in decades of benefiting from Argentina, never had," the head of Foreign Affairs of the homeland of Bolívar and Chávez made it clear that "the terrorist plans they have tried to implement against our country have failed miserably, just as any attempt to impose their hypocrisy and arrogance on us will fail."

Gil stated that Werthein's murky history "does not begin or end with money laundering." No, his true legacy lies in the fortunes amassed in the shadow of any opportunistic government and under the complicity of the darkest dictatorship that devastated Argentina."   He added that "the wealth he flaunts is stained with the blood of tens of thousands of innocents, murdered and tortured during the most tragic years of Argentine history."

In the opinion of the Venezuelan Chancellor, "the Werthein are not just a surname: they are an emblem of plunder, corruption, and human misery."  Their impact on Argentine society places them as undisputed leaders of, indeed, a true financial and moral underworld, dragging with them a government that has only been an expert in collecting international ridicule while sharpening its claws for new opportunities for plunder and laundering of illicit capital.

Werthein was added as a person of interest in the investigation opened by Venezuelan Justice regarding the Argentine gendarme Nahuel Gallo for serious acts that threaten security and sovereignty. The Argentine Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, was also linked to the investigation.

Gallo was arrested at the border between Venezuela and Colombia while attempting to enter Venezuela irregularly. He is being investigated for links with members of the Venezuelan far-right who plan terrorist acts and for destabilizing purposes.

According to Venezuelan authorities, it is an intelligence agent from the Argentine government, who tried to hide his true criminal plan, which aimed at carrying out an "extraction operation" to take six members of the organization Vente Venezuela across the border, who are at the Argentine embassy in Caracas.  According to the investigations carried out by the Venezuelan auxiliary justice bodies, in the chain of command of the group of terrorists sent from Argentina, Minister Bullrich herself appears.

The Venezuelan Prosecutor's Office demanded that Bullrich explain to the Argentine people and Nahuel Gallo's family why his trip to the Bolivarian nation was authorized without informing the authorities, which sets a serious precedent in the region.  After those revelations, Werthein and Bullrich tried to deny the Venezuelan Prosecutor's considerations and declared that he is a victim of political kidnapping.
