La Paz, January 4 (RHC)-- Bolivian Foreign Minister Celinda Sosa affirms that with her nation's integration into the BRICS bloc, her country is betting on a new multipolar world order.
"From January 1, 2025, we are a partner state of the BRICS, one of the most important blocs in the global sphere," highlighted the minister through a message disseminated on her social media.
Bolivia's top diplomat emphasized that "this new achievement in our international relations places Bolivia among the most important emerging economies on the planet, which are betting on a new multipolar world order."
Previously, on December 23, Russia officially announced the list of countries associated with BRICS, including Bolivia, a status that was assigned to it starting from January 1, 2025.
"From now on, we will act in this group officially, with the aim of joining global initiatives that seek prosperity and development with the sovereignty of our peoples," stated the foreign minister.
The senator from the ruling Movement for Socialism (MAS), Virginia Velasco, assured that Bolivia's entry into the BRICS bloc is a possibility to industrialize its large lithium reserves.
