Caracas, March 7 (RHC)-- The Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, stated that the representative of the fascist right, María Corina Machado, wants to give the magnate Elon Musk the riches of the South American nation in exchange for the benefit of the elite to which she belongs. This, he said, would be nothing less than an act of treason.
During this Friday's edition of the radio program "Sin Truco ni Maña," which Cabello does together with Deputy Tania Díaz, it was revealed that in a recent interview granted to an American media outlet, Maria Corina Machado offered Musk, as a representatiive of the Trump Administration, the future delivery of Venezuela's oil resources.
Cabello rejected that she offered the owner of the social network X the resources that belong to the Venezuelan people. He pointed out that Machado offered Musk the National Electric System for his exploitation, the zones for launching rockets in Cabo de San Román, the natural resources and fresh water, in addition to turning Venezuela into a data processing center for technological corporations.
It was recalled that this act of servility occurs at the time that Machado called for stronger unilateral restrictive measures against Venezuela, demanded more foreign intervention and tried to humiliate repatriated Venezuelan migrants by calling them "criminals," in line with the anti-immigrant narrative of the Trump Administration.
Cabello questioned who the extremist opposition is to offer what belongs to the people. He considered that Machado is as much a thief and corrupt as other fascist right-wing figures who stole Venezuelan assets, among them Juan Guiadó, Leopoldo López, Antonio Ledezma, Julio Borges, David Smolansky and Carlos Vecchio.
Earlier this week, during parliamentary debates on the revocation by the U.S. of Chevron's license to operate in Venezuela, the deputy and first vice president of the National Assembly, Pedro Infante, referred to another offer of this nature made by Machado, when she pleaded with Washington: "We are going to turn Venezuela from the criminal center of the Americas into the energy center of the Americas, the greatest economic opportunity for American companies and businesses."
During the radio program, Deputy Díaz recalled that on July 27, 2024, the day before the presidential elections in Venezuela, Elon Musk called through X to support María Corina Machado and that the arguments offered on this Friday's program help to understand why.
